About me

I am currently a doctoral student at EPFL in the Laboratory for Comptational Molecular Design (LCMD). My research is in mathematical and computational modeling of complex chemical systems.

I received my Bachelor in Engineering Science from the KU Leuven, and my Master's in Chemical Engineering from the KU Leuven and the University of Delaware. My Master's thesis under the supervision of Prof. Vlachos focused on microkinetic modeling of small alkane hydrogenolysis on Ru surfaces.

My engagements

Recently, I was a member of the EPFL Rocket Team, where I mentored and assisted young engineers in landing a rocket autonomously. The desire to excite and enable young adults to engage with science and entrepreneurship is a central tenet to my engagements. Be that in participating in the Peer Assisted Learning framework for freshmen engineers, in organizing driver's license classes for less fortunate youth as the President of the Youth Council in Lanaken, or in co-authoring course material for Systems Analysis of Chemical Processes.

Personal Life

As any good academic, I have a healthy coffee addiction about which I can talk for hours. The equipment, the beans, the brew time, the grind size... For the moment, I use my trusted moka pot at home and a french press in the office. In addition to my quest to perfect my bean tea, I adore going for a run and reading a good book. If you have any suggestions on how to improve my cup in the morning, want to go for a run together or have a book recommendation, then do not hesistate to reach out!
